In the jamboree of Christmas, lights and decorations occupy a major seat. Christmas lights are a big part of the holiday festivity. As the months of November and December roll around, strands of lights are seen everywhere twinkling and winking, thereby soaking the complete environment in the spirit and color of Christmas. On lush green or frosted Christmas trees, on houses, in lawns, shrubs, bushes and even on the cars - the colorful Christmas lights are found winkling all over. The prime purpose of lighting lights for Christmas is believed to bring light in everybody's life by warding off the evil spirits.
The tradition of Christmas lights began with the kindling of small candles to light up the Christmas tree. |
